Marg Stark is a writer and an author. A wife and a mom. A lover of
all things coastal though she grew up landlocked in the Midwest. The mom
who always cheers a little too loudly at her son's lacrosse games or the
other son's musical theatre performances. A lover of organic food and
thrift stores. A fierce fan of of her alma mater Mount Holyoke and a
rather extreme bargain shopper.
Marg Stark's most recent project is a TV pilot script based on her
book WHAT NO ONE TELLS THE BRIDE, written with director Shayne Lightner.
WHAT NO ONE TELLS THE BRIDE is a perennial bestseller, still a great
gift book, even 15 years after it premiered.
Marg’s magazine articles have appeared in Parents, Ladies Home
Journal, Readers Digest, Prevention, and Bridal Guide among
others. Funny and down-to-earth expert, Marg has offered workshops to
new parents and newlywed couples. She has appeared on hundreds of radio
and TV shows, including ABC’s “The View,” CBS’ “This Morning,” “The
Danny Bonaduce Show,” and the “Oliver North” radio program. Published by
Boston, Marg's first magazine article—about two men living and
dying with AIDS—was adapted into a NBC television movie, “Roommates"
starrring Eric Stoltz and Randy Quaid.
graduated from Mount Holyoke College, got her masters in journalism from
Northwestern University, and a lot of life lessons as the daughter of a
liberal Presbyterian minister and the wife of a conservative U.S. naval
Metropolitan magazine selected her as one of San Diego’s “40
under 40” most accomplished leaders. A first-time mom at 33, Stark fell
in love with her strawberry-blonde babes.
